About this Event
"Do More in Four challenges everything you assume about effort, efficiency, and the modern workweek. It's both a sharp critique of outdated norms and a hopeful blueprint for what's next." — Daniel H. Pink
The endless debates around “The Future of Work” show us that the rhythms and customs of working life in the industrial age – the five day workweek, the 9-to-5 office day, measuring productivity in output per hours – no longer make much sense in our AI-enabled knowledge economy.
In their new book , Joe O’Connor—CEO of Work Time Revolution and a pioneer in designing and leading four-day workweek pilots around the globe—and workplace journalist Jared Lindzon, profile forward-thinking companies that, through strategic adoption of a reduced working week, are seeing real results. Moving from measuring productivity in effectiveness rather than hours, they are improving employee wellbeing, motivation, and promoting the effective use of AI to focus on the tasks that have the highest impact.
On February 16, Joe and Jared will join us in London to explain how moving to a four-day work week fundamentally changes mindsets; how it changes the recruitment and retention game; how it is shown to deliver measurable sustainability benefits; and how it can be used to benefit working parents and to address gender workforce gaps. They will also offer advice on how you can make it work, even when your competitors, customers, and clients are stuck in historical working patterns, and will share effective ways to advocate for, and to implement a four-day workweek in your own organizations.
The event will be introduced and moderated by Dimitrios Spyridonidis, Associate Professor of Leadership and Innovation at Warwick Business School.
