Harm Reduction in Toronto: A Panel Discussion on Advocacy & Services Join community health workers & advocates for a guided conversation about harm reduction.
About this Event

Join community health workers & advocates for a guided conversation about harm reduction.

Harm reduction is an approach that “meets people where they are” using evidence-based methods for reducing health risks associated with substance use. *

Our discussion will cover resources, policies and services in Toronto that affect people who use drugs. We will chat about specific local issues, and discuss practical ways that we can support our community.

Refreshments will be provided and ingredient lists will be available.

Panel speakers include:

Ray Clark is a health promotor and educator with Parkdale Queen West Community Health Centre and HART (Homelessness & Addiction Recovery & Treatment) Hub, previously Parkdale Supervised Consumption and Treatment Service (CTS). Ray has 20 years of experience in harm reduction roles. He teaches Harm Reduction and Advanced Overdose Response.

Keyanna Vanloo is a case manager with the AMANI program at TAIBU Community Health Centre dedicated to supporting Black youth in a culturally responsive care environment navigating mental health and/or substance use challenges.

Jen la Fauci Gordon is a community advocate with Harm Reduction Advocacy Collective (HRAC) Toronto, a drug-user and community-led advocacy group. She is an Overdose Response Trainer, and identifies as a Person Who Uses Drugs (PWUD).
