Happy Pub Day is a quarterly reading series celebrating high-quality published writing — fiction and nonfiction — that has not yet received its due. Writers (and writing!) deserve more real-life exhibition, and we’re honored to do our small part, in collaboration with The Writers Room.
So, spread the word, and come enjoy our first-rate roster. Afterwards, we’ll mingle and have a few drinks.
We’d love to hear from you: If you have written something that you’d like to celebrate, please send it our way to be considered for a future reading. Or if you have edited or read something that you’d like to see celebrated, please encourage the writer to send it our way. Our guidelines are minimal — we ask only that submissions be prose, published, and good. Ideally, pieces will have come out within the last two years, though this is not strictly necessary. While we’ll prioritize small magazines and journals, we’re open to pieces from all publications. Submissions and questions may be sent to [email protected].
Happy Pub Day is organized by Anna Venarchik, Enzo Escober, and Shaan Sachdev, who are all happy to chat if you’d like to learn more.
