About this Event
What was it like to spend time with Miles Davis?
Join us at the Eubie Blake Cultural Center for an intimate conversation with Todd Barkan of Keystone Korner, as he shares stories and memories of his time with Miles Davis and reflects on the music, personality, and legacy of one of jazz’s most influential artists.
Barkan has spent decades at the center of the jazz world as a club owner, producer, and presenter, working with and presenting some of the most important musicians in the music. This afternoon offers a rare opportunity to hear Miles Davis remembered through the experiences of someone who knew him personally.
Hangin’ With Miles is presented in conjunction with 100 Miles and Runnin’, The Next 100 Jazz Initiative’s exhibition celebrating Miles Davis and the continuing influence of jazz across generations.
