As covered in IndieWire, writer/director Matthew James Thompson’s Handle With Care is touring the country in a single mysterious DVD case. From New York City to Tennessee to Florida, Rhode Island, Handle With Care has been on a journey and now makes a one-night-only stop in St. Louis! Check out the well-traveled case, sign the guestbook, and enjoy this “oddly delightful” indie dramedy!A sharp, self-aware romantic dramedy, Handle With Care follows a cynical copywriter who dissects love, marriage, and the “programming” behind it while navigating a messy divorce just one year after his wedding. As he’s forced to inventory and sell off every shared possession, each object becomes a window into the relationship’s rise and collapse, blending biting humor with emotional reckoning. When unexpected connections begin to challenge his worldview, he must decide whether love is a flawed system to escape or something worth re-learning.
