Brief Bio Summary

Mr. David W. Zecher serves as the Deputy Director and Director of the Strategic Technology & Integration Directorate for the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Aviation & Missile Center (DEVCOM AvMC) at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. In this role, he provides leadership and oversight for the Center's cross-functional aviation and missile technology teams, helping drive innovation, integration, and capability development in support of Army modernization efforts.

With nearly two decades of progressive leadership experience within DEVCOM AvMC, Mr. Zecher has held numerous key positions across engineering, production, sustainment, systems integration, and technology development organizations. Prior to assuming his current role, he served as Principal Deputy for both the Technology Development Directorate and the Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering & Integration (S3I) Directorate. His career also includes leadership roles supporting major air and missile defense programs, including PATRIOT, THAAD, and Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD).

Mr. Zecher holds a Master of Science in Management from the Florida Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. His extensive technical expertise and leadership experience have made him a key contributor to advancing the Army's aviation and missile capabilities.
