We’re putting a spooky-season twist on one of our favorite ways to connect.
This October, Olympia Boss Society is bringing community favorite Speed Connecting to Connection Night, complete with costumes, prizes, plenty of Halloween fun, and, of course, Networking Without the Ick.
If traditional networking feels awkward, transactional, or like you spend the whole night talking to the same two people, this is your invitation into something completely different.
Speed Connecting, the OBS way, is intentional, energizing, and designed to help you actually meet the women in the room.
Think speed dating... except instead of looking for your soulmate, you might find your next collaborator, referral partner, client, business bestie, or the person who knows exactly who you need to meet.
👻 COSTUMES + HALLOWEEN FUN
Yes, we’re dressing up.
And because figuring out what to wear can sometimes be the hardest part, every year OBS chooses a Halloween costume theme to make it easy. Last year, we showed up as Iconic Women. This year’s theme is coming soon. 👀
Use the theme as your jumping-off point and make it as simple or elaborate as you want. The goal isn’t costume-contest-level commitment. It’s to take the guesswork out of choosing something, have some fun, and give the whole room a shared Halloween vibe.
We’ll also have prizes and a few Halloween surprises throughout the night.

We’ll kick things off with a mini workshop helping you get clear on how you want to introduce yourself, what you’re working on, and what kinds of connections would be most valuable to you right now.
No stiff elevator pitches. No rehearsed networking scripts. Just a few strong sentences that actually sound like you.
Then, the room comes alive.
You’ll move through a series of guided, rapid-fire connection rounds designed to help you skip the painful small talk and get into conversations that actually matter.
Every round has a prompt. Every conversation has a purpose. And instead of leaving wondering, “Wait... who didn’t I get a chance to talk to?” you’ll have the opportunity to connect with women all across the room.
