Join us on Wednesday, October 28th, from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM for a Halloween-themed photo mixer at FD Photo Studios Long Island City for a night of eerie aesthetics, spooky snapshots, and creative connection.
Shoot your costume before celebrating Halloween weekend in a photo creative studio space designed for connection and collaboration. Whether you're building a portfolio, testing out a costume concept, or just having fun during spooky season, you’ll be surrounded by fellow creatives.
We’re opening three completely different studios so you can shoot your costume in multiple distinct backgrounds in one evening:
- LIC 2 - Wood Platform
- LIC 4 - Blackout & RBG
- LIC 7 - Moroccan Tile

Who this is for
Open to models, photographers, videographers, cosplayers, actors, HMUAs, dancers, brands, stylists, designers, producers, and anyone building a portfolio or looking for fresh content. If you've been meaning to book studio time, try a new collaboration, or meet the NYC creative community, this is the way to do it.
Halloween attire is strongly encouraged (but not required). Bring your own costumes or collaborate with others on-site.
How it works
This is a collaborative group mixer. Please share the space respectfully and work together creatively.
A few things to know going in:
- Studios are shared. Please rotate between the studios so everyone gets time.
- Studios won't have additional Halloween-themed decorations.
- Models and photographers are not provided or guaranteed. You may bring your own team or collaborate with creatives you meet at the event. FD provides the space, available lighting, and grip equipment.
- Photo participation. By default, attendees may photograph and be photographed.
- Model releases or commercial agreements are handled directly between participants. FD provides the space but does not mediate individual arrangements.
- Attendees are responsible for their own equipment, personal items, and personal safety during the event. Our host will be on-site throughout to help with anything you need.
- Prop weapons are okay to bring.
