Built in 1887, the Grand Pacific Hotel has welcomed generations of guests. Some say a few never left.
This Saturday, October 31, 2026, Huntress and Lumi by Akira Back take over the hotel for Never Checked Out, a Halloween celebration in the heart of San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter.
Step inside for an elegant, eerie night of costumes, cocktails and DJs playing on multiple levels—from the ground floor to the rooftop. One party admission gives you access to all four floors and the open-air rooftop.

Party Admission — From $20
Explore the hotel as DJs bring each level to life. Party doors open at 9 PM, with access to all four floors and the open-air rooftop.

The rooftop joins the party after Lumi’s dinner service, between 9 and 10 PM. Party admission does not include a reserved table, dinner or the beverage package.
VIP Early Entry — From $50
Check in before the main party begins.
Arrive at 7:30 PM for hosted sparkling wine and tray-passed bites on the first three floors until 9 PM, then stay as the celebration takes over the hotel.
VIP includes:

- Full party admission to all four floors and the open-air rooftop once it opens.
VIP guests do not need a separate general admission ticket. Reserved tables and the beverage package are separate offerings.
Beverage Package — $49 Add-On
Add select beer, wine and cocktails from 9 to 11 PM.
The beverage package does not include admission. Guests must also have a party ticket, VIP ticket or party admission included with a Lumi Halloween dinner reservation.

Start your evening at Lumi by Akira Back, then stay for Never Checked Out. Every Lumi Halloween dinner guest receives party admission.
Choose the Halloween à la carte menu or the $75 family-style menu, featuring Akira Pizza, tiradito, sushi and sashimi, rolls and skewers.
- Reservations begin at 5 PM, with last seating at 8 PM.
- A $10 reservation deposit per guest is required.
- Dinner is charged separately.
- Party admission is included for every dinner guest.
- VIP entry and the beverage package are separate offerings.

The Evening
- 5 PM: Lumi dinner reservations begin.
- 7:30 PM: VIP early entry and hosted reception.
- 8 PM: Last Lumi dinner seating.
- 9 PM: Main party doors open; VIP reception ends.
- 9–10 PM: Rooftop opens to the party after dinner service clears.
- 9–11 PM: Beverage package service.
- 1 AM: Last call.

What’s the difference between VIP and Party Admission?
Party Admission starts at $20 and includes entry from 9 PM, with DJs on multiple levels and access to all four floors and the open-air rooftop.
VIP Admission starts at $50 and includes early entry at 7:30 PM, hosted sparkling wine and tray-passed bites until 9 PM, plus full party admission. No separate party ticket is needed.
For both tickets, rooftop party access begins after dinner service, between 9 and 10 PM. Reserved tables and the 9–11 PM beverage package are sold separately.
Is the event 21+?
Yes. All guests must be 21 or older and present valid ID.
Are costumes required?
Costumes are encouraged, but not required.
Does one ticket cover every floor?
Yes. Party admission includes all four floors and the open-air rooftop. Rooftop party access begins after dinner service, between 9 and 10 PM.
Do VIP guests need a separate party ticket?
No. VIP includes full party admission.
Do Lumi dinner guests need a party ticket?
