On Thursday, October 30, we will host our annual fall/Halloween costume parade. The costume parade will begin at approximately 3:00 PM. Times and activities for any Halloween Classroom parties will vary by teacher. Each teacher will notify parents regarding specific information for their classroom parties.Weather permitting; the students will parade outside around the building. Parents are welcome to come and view the parade. If there is inclement weather, the parade will be inside of the school and parents will be able to come in through the gym and watch the parade from there.
Costume Guidelines:
Students are invited to bring a costume to school, they are not required.
1. We encourage everyone to be respectful of others’ beliefs when choosing an appropriate costume. Costumes that have weapons or blood will not be allowed. We ask students to wear costumes that are in good taste.
2. Students are NOT allowed to wear masks, hats or accessories while in the school or classroom. They will only be allowed to wear these items during the parade.
3. The use of make-up, hair dye, etc. should be limited.
4. Students will be changing into their costumes towards the end of the day. Please pack their costumes in their backpacks.
If you do not wish for your child to participate in the parade or any of the classroom activities, please send a ParentSquare message to your child’s teacher. If you are planning on signing your child out prior to the classroom party or parade, please also notify the teacher and/or front office.
Students will NOT be allowed to be signed out early after the parade. If you would like to change the way your student goes home, please make sure to send a note or call the office BEFORE the parade begins.
