Costumes, candy, and a little bit of spooky fun are taking over Main Street in Downtown Monroe. Join the City of Monroe on Saturday, October 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for Halloween Happenings, a free afternoon for the whole family.New this year: trick-or-treating at downtown businesses. Pick up a map, then visit participating businesses to collect candy. Trick-or-treaters of any age are welcome, and children must be accompanied by an adult. Candy is available while supplies last, and we have plenty.
Along the way, you will find bounce houses, arts, crafts, carnival games, and vendors from Faded Rose Boutique. At 1 p.m., we will hold a costume contest for all ages with prizes. Registration is walk-up, so just show up in your best look!
Parking information is available at www.monroenc.org/parking.
Update 10/1: There will be no gaming truck this year. We will have carnival games also.
