Okay, we’ve been working on Link Lobby for over a year, and it’s finally time to stop talking about having events and actually have one. We’re kicking things off with our very first Link Lobby event and our first venue partnership at Dual Citizen Brewing Co. in St. Paul.
And since it’s October... obviously we had to make it Halloween.
No giant tournament. No need to be “good” at games. No awkward icebreakers. Just come hang out, grab a drink, play something, meet some people, and enjoy the night.
FEATURED GAME — THE MIND
This game sounds ridiculously simple.
Everyone has numbered cards. As a group, you have to play them from lowest to highest.
The catch?
You can’t talk. You can’t signal. And you have absolutely no idea what cards everyone else is holding.
Basically, stare at your new friends until you develop telepathy.
We'll have multiple stations running with groups rotating through rounds. Seats are limited each round, so if one fills up, hang out and catch the next one.
ALSO PLAYING — SUPER MARIO PARTY: TRICK OR TREAT
We picked out a lineup of Super Mario Party minigames with dark, spooky, candy-filled, Halloween-ish vibes.
Grab a Joy-Con. Play a round. Pass it on. Grab some candy.
WHO RULES HALLOWEEN? [ Halloween Character Ranking Activity ]
Michael Myers? Chucky? Ghostface? Dracula? Jack Skellington?
We're putting up a giant Halloween character tier list and letting you all mess with it throughout the night.
See somebody sitting in S-tier who has NO BUSINESS being there?
Fix it.
You get 3 moves. Then walk away and let the next person ruin all your hard work.
At the end of the night, whatever this community-created monstrosity looks like... that's where it ends.
👻 THE REST
Costumes are encouraged — not required.
Halloween treats are free.
Come solo. Bring friends. Bring somebody who swears they're “not really a game person.” We don't care.
Everything is designed to be easy to jump into.
