Halloween Disco for Keas & CubsTheme -This year's theme is Time Warped which is a spinoff of a decades theme where we'll be sectioning off the hall into different decades 70's, 80's even the 20's and more and we encourage the youth to come as a decade or split between different decades.
Location - Chartwell Scout Hall on Belmont Avenue.
Times - like previous years, we'll be having the two discos plus one extra. The first is at 4:30-5:30pm for the Keas and Cubs. The second will be at 6:30-7:30pm for the Scouts. The third and new one at 7:30-9pm is for Venturers and for anyone who is interested in seeing what Rovers is about or for those who just want to hang out.
Registrations will be sent out via invites through Mahitahi soon.
Costs - the door cost will be $10 which can either be paid at the door or in advance via bank transfer (bank account details with the invites).
We'll also have food and drinks on offer and we'll be accepting cash only (small notes please).
Volunteering - This year, we are opening up to the Venturers to help out with the party whether that's helping with setup or the running of the party. If you know of any venturers who are interested to help out, let me know and I'll get back to you with specifics (unsure if they still need service hours for their award scheme but I'm more than happy to sign off for some hours)
General Rules - just a gentle reminder about the rules we'll be having for the parties which should be similar to ones that you have for your sections.
- Youth members aren't to leave the hall without an adult along with when dropping off the youth member as we would like to double check details and ensure we know who is picking up who
- For advance payment, please pay to the Waikato Rover Account instead of the Scout Group's bank account.
- If there are any important things that we need to know eg. Medical, behavioral or dietary, please let us know sooner rather than later so that we can cater for everyone so we can all have a great time.
We'll be having spot prizes for the dancing and costumes, goodie bags and we'll be running some games outside for those who aren't into dancing.
