Supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our community.
With a desire to help families like his own, Steve Ristow opened QWO in 1997 as a way to serve individuals with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) and their families, while also addressing their need for spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical restoration.
Our guests include individuals with a wide variety of I/DD (e.g., Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and Autism), ethnic backgrounds, religions, financial statuses, ages (18 and up), and living situations.
QWO offers Day Programs and Oregon's ONLY Bed & Breakfast for guests with I/DD. Our guests stay engaged daily through outings, events, activities, and by serving other local non-profits. Our homes are more like a clubhouse to our guests where they can interact with their peers in a safe and fun environment! Meanwhile, their caregivers have a chance to rest knowing their loved ones are having a blast and being well taken care of.
