Come early and trick or treat to get some fun crystal giveaways while supplies last. All ages welcome! (Bulky costumes may be asked to wait in the lobby).
BRING YOUR UV LIGHTS!
Once darkness descends we'll K*ll the shop lights and view some dazzling fluorescent minerals on display. Most of these minerals will be on sale the night of as well.
Stick around after dark for a fun community SCAVENGER HUNT! Make sure to keep those UV lights handy to look for flourescent minerals I've hidden along the LA River Bike Path. Whatever you find is yours to keep!
If you dont have a UV light I will have some models available for purchase at the shop.
** If you plan to particiapte in the scavenger hunt - please read completely **
The rules are simple. Find a glowing rock, keep it.
(That being said, please be kind and if you find multiple rocks consider choosing your favorites and hide the others for another eager participant to find).
- All my rocks will be placed along the neighborhood side of the LA River Path. All rocks will be within 1-2 feet off the path itself. (More precise locations will be emailed to those who RSVP).
- NO rocks will be hidden along the river side of the path or down by the river itself.
- Respect private property. Do not tresspass.
- Always be aware of your surroundings and watch for bikers.
- Different rocks will react under different UV wavelengths. Come by the shop to see examples in person before you go hunt.
- Rocks will glow best when hidden in dark areas. Please use caution and common sense when approaching dark areas and no not proceed if you feel uncomfortable.
- It's possible other items besides my rocks will glow under UV light so pay attention to what you are picking up and use caution.
- You can bring any rocks you find over to my shop during the event or normal business hours and I will identify them and provide mineral labels for you.
- This event is intended to be a fun, safe experience for friends and familes to participate in together while exploring the neighborhood. You are responsible for the saftely and well-being of all those in your party at all times.
