American troubadour Pat Guadagno returns with a powerful new installment in his acclaimed series of musical celebrations, Hallelujah: The Songs of Leonard Cohen. Guadagno’s Rags & Feathers Orchestra, featuring a richly textured Baroque string ensemble and an extraordinary cast of musicians, brings Cohen’s timeless and poetic work to life in a performance that honors both the beauty and complexity of his remarkable songbook.More than a songwriter, Leonard Cohen was a fearless intellectual explorer, using music to wrestle with life’s deepest questions. His songs have resonated across generations, inspiring legendary interpretations across virtually every genre.
“For me, this music is about vulnerability and truth,” Guadagno says. “There’s a sacredness to Cohen’s writing, but also a raw humanity. Our goal for this show is to honor both.”
With performances by Arlan Feiles, Eryn O’Ree, Maureen McCrink, and Scott “The Tango Kid” Yetka, this eclectic ensemble breathes new life into Cohen’s iconic catalog, which includes gems like Suzanne, Hallelujah, Bird on a Wire, and Famous Blue Raincoat—songs Cohen once described as “investigations into the beautiful and terrifying truths of existence.”
