Cherry Burton Arts is hosting another special event to help boost funds for the Village Hall. Hall Together Now #5 (Duos Special) will take place on FRIDAY 20 November at The Village Hall in Cherry Burton near Beverley (7.30pm) and feature no less than SIX local acts.
THE BAY HORSEMEN OF THE APOCALYPSE will be hosting the event, as well as introducing and playing alongside their special guests:
THE ARKUT BROTHERS, CLAIRE SMITH DUO, BLACK COFFEE & CREAM, McDOWELL and EMMANDI.
The event has been described as a ‘glorious entertaining mixture of songs, tunes and styles’ from very different local acts all with Cherry Burton connections-indeed all have performed at the monthly Cherry Burton Acoustic Evenings held in the village pub.
This year the audience can look forward to individual sets from no less than six acts, who may also invite some collaboration with the hosts The Bay Horsemen. From the highly popular indie-country sounds of The Arkut Brothers, through to the contemporary chilled songs from Claire Smith Duo, the father and daughter sounds of Emmandi and stalwarts of the local scene Black Coffee & Cream -this will be a great and diverse evening of music. Add to this the polished gems from McDowell and the tongue in cheek collection from The Bay Horsemen of the Apocalypse and a great night is in store!
At ‘Hall Together Now ‘events all the musicians take to the stage for a finale jam- but what song will they choose this time?
Attenders should note that there will be a BAR for this event, and a raffle!
(Doors/Bar open 7pm)
Cherry Burton Arts organiser Martin Peirson added “These nights are great fun – we have some amazing musicians right on our doorstep who are willing to give their time and talents for this worthy cause. We have plans to improve accessibility to the hall which doesn’t come cheap so we are very grateful for these musicians helping out– everyone is welcome to come and have a drink at the ‘Village Hall Arms’ and enjoy some fine company and music!”
