About this Event
Building Digital Skills. Building Confidence. Creating Opportunities.
Technology is now part of everyday life: from applying for jobs and accessing essential services to keeping in touch with family, managing information and developing new skills.
Our Digital Inclusion Workshops are a free, accessible programme designed to help people across Hull build the practical digital skills and confidence they need to take part in today's increasingly digital world.
Running weekly over 12 months, the programme will provide friendly, hands-on IT training for different levels of experience. Participants will have opportunities to learn how to:
Build essential computer and internet skills
Access online services with confidence
Search and apply for jobs online
Create CVs, documents and complete online applications
Use email, video calling and digital communication tools to stay connected with friends and family locally and abroad
Stay safe online, recognise scams and protect personal information
Explore AI and emerging digital technologies
Learn coding and programming skills
FIRST 12 WEEKS: DIGITAL CREATORS: CODING
We're kicking off the programme with an exciting 12-week coding pathway, giving participants the opportunity to discover how technology works and learn how to create with it.
Through practical activities, interactive challenges and hands on projects, participants will explore coding, computational thinking, problem-solving and digital creativity, progressing from complete beginner to creating their own digital projects.
No previous coding or IT experience is required.
Whether you want to improve your everyday digital skills, become more confident online, develop skills for employment or discover something completely new, there's a place for you.
