Join Janet, Engagement Officer from the Higher Level Stewardship team on a guided walk around a restored heathland site. Discover how the area was restored for wildlife, commoning and people, and learn more about the area around Markway Inclosure.
This walk is suitable for anyone interested in the management of the New Forest’s Crown Lands and wildlife.
Difficulty: The walk is approximately four miles long, using grassy rides and gravel tracks with a few slight inclines.
Duration: Allow two hours. Meet at Wilverley Plain car park at 10.30am we will aim to be back for 12.30pm.
Wildlife: Please bring your binoculars to catch any glimpses of wildlife whilst on our walk.
Dogs: Please keep your dogs at home for this walk.
Cost: Adults £5, under 18s free.
