Habitat Improvement: Chinese Privet Removal

All Ages w/Adult
Volunteer an hour or two of your time to help park staff and Pitt County Composite Mountain Bike Team remove invasive Chinese privet along the Chris Smith Mountain Bike Trails! This non-native species out-competes our native plants that are beneficial to our forest and wildlife. It’s easy to identify in winter because it’s an evergreen, making it perfect for anyone to help improve the park. We will have gloves, lopping shears, and pruners to borrow, but feel free to bring your own (leave the chainsaws at home)!
Saturday February 6 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Fee: Free
