Celebrate in Unity
HAAPIROOTS stands for Honoring Asian American, Pacific Islander Roots—a grassroots cultural movement and annual festival based in Las Vegas that celebrates the voices, stories, and creative contributions of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities.
Each May, during AANHPI Heritage Month, we’re proud to bring this unity celebration to Las Vegas in partnership with Downtown Container Park—a space that reflects the creativity and energy of the people we serve.
Launched in 2023, HAAPIROOTS was created to bring together our diverse communities under one banner. Rather than hosting fragmented or siloed events, the vision was to create a shared celebration—where all cultures could be honored side by side, with love, visibility, and pride.
Held annually at Downtown Container Park, HAAPIROOTS transforms this downtown hub into a cultural gathering space. The free, family-friendly festival features live performances, cultural fashion showcases, and a curated marketplace of AANHPI-owned small businesses and organizations. Through art, music, fashion, entrepreneurship, and intergenerational storytelling, HAAPIROOTS amplifies AANHPI identity and creates meaningful opportunities for connection across communities.
As the festival continues to grow, HAAPIROOTS is excited to expand its creative reach. In 2026, we aim to welcome filmmakers, digital storytellers, and multimedia artists—offering new ways to showcase independent AANHPI voices through visual storytelling, short films, installations, and more. Our goal is to create a platform where cultural identity and creative expression intersect in bold and inclusive ways.
Now heading into its fourth year, HAAPIROOTS remains a joyful, artistic, and collaborative force—embodying our 2025–2026 theme:“Our Cultures, Our Stories, Our Strength.”
