About GYAP
Gambian-American Young Adults and Professionals (GYAP) is an organization dedicated to supporting young adults of the Gambian diaspora in the DMV. The mission of GYAP is to cultivate a vibrant community by providing networking opportunities, fostering personal and professional growth, and strengthening the bonds of goodwill and friendship among its members.
Since its establishment in 2025, GYAP has held numerous events nurturing community, culture, and professional development amongst young adults. This gala commemerates one year of GYAP, setting the stage for the next!

About The Tuku Jallow Foundation
The Tuku Jallow foundation is dedicated to the late Tuku Jallow. This organization is run and operated by her children. They are dedicated to continuing her great work, deeds and establishing a lasting legacy after her untimely passing in 2023. They are a non-profit organization based in The Gambia, West Africa, deeply committed to enhancing the quality of life for all Gambians.
Their mission is to empower youth and women by developing essential human resources. They also provide humanitarian relief aid through partnerships worldwide.
Their goal is to support 1,000 families and individuals in need each year, thereby giving back to our community. To that end, they have already donated and installed over 25 boreholes for clean drinking water and plan to implement at least 12 more boreholes annually.
Additionally, They are focused on constructing schools for children, providing medical clinical facilities for the underprivileged, donating food basket supplies and resources to help locals farm and providing affordable housing for local citizens.
