Our trained and Wilderness First Responder Certified guides will lead you through the backcountry of Shenandoah National Park as you learn about backpacking preparedness, safety, best practices, and much more! Highlights include a sunset hike and sweeping views from Black Rock Summit!
Before the trip you'll have the chance for a group session with one of our guides to discuss how to get ready and pack for the trip, as well get to know your fellow backpackers!
Backpacking and sleeping gear is provided so do not worry if you don't have all the bells and whistles; all you need is the ability to hike with a 30-lb pack for 4-6 hours and a willingness to try new and exciting things. Please note that we will stay at a campground for this trip. This allows you to ease into the world of backpacking while maintaining some of the creature comforts of the frontcountry!

More Than 90 Days - Full refund or 100% future trip credit
61-90 Days - 50% refund or 75% future trip credit31
60 Days - 25% refund or 50% future trip credit
30 Days or Less - No refund and no future trip credit. If you choose a future trip credit with us it must be used within one calendar year of issuance.
