Gumz Community Trail at Valley Children's Hospital on Saturday, Sept. 26 from 9-11 a.m. for a meaningful and uplifting community walk dedicated to patients and families affected by Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. This event will bring together patients, caregivers, healthcare providers and community members to raise awareness about inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and to show support for those living with these lifelong conditions. The event will also help raise funds for the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, which helps take care of patients all over the country.
Through this walk, we aim to foster a strong sense of community, reduce the isolation that many patients and families feel, and highlight the importance of compassionate, coordinated care. Participants will have the opportunity to connect with others who share similar experiences, build lasting relationships and learn from one another.
In addition to the walk, attendees will have access to valuable resources, educational materials and support services provided by Valley Children’s Hospital and the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. Together, we strive to empower patients and families with knowledge, advocacy and hope.
