About this Event
Brain-Gut Reset is a restorative day bringing together movement, nutrition, breathing, fermented food and sound to explore the connection between the gut, brain and wider wellbeing.
Hosted by FermenTABLE founder Catalina Brumann, the day brings together local wellbeing specialists for a carefully curated programme of practical, accessible sessions. You will move your body, explore how everyday habits can influence the gut-brain connection, learn simple approaches to fermentation, make time for conscious breathing and finish the day in deep relaxation.
Whether you are already interested in gut health or simply want to begin the new year with a day dedicated to feeling well, the programme is designed to give you useful ideas and experiences you can take into everyday life.
Meet the experts
- Catalina Brumann - founder of FermenTABLE and host of Brain-Gut Reset, bringing fermentation into everyday life through practical demonstrations, events and community experiences.
- Claire Darlow - Pilates instructor and founder of Move Into Wellness. Claire has taught Pilates for 27 years and works across community classes, one-to-one and small-group sessions, resistance training and wellness retreats.
- Amanda Ryder - Registered Nutritional Therapist mBANT, CNHC reg and Metabolic Balance Practitioner.
- Polly Warren - breathing workshop instructor, leading a session designed to create time to pause, breathe and reset.
- Sally Warr - sound bath practitioner from Gong Bath Meditation, using planetary gongs and light percussion to create a restorative sound experience.
Tickets
Tickets cost £125 per person including lunch, plus Eventbrite booking fees. Places are limited to keep the experience welcoming and personal, so advance booking is required.

Pilates for the Gut & Brain - Move, Breathe, Connect
Host: With Claire Darlow from Move Into Wellness
Info: Our gut and brain are in constant conversation through what is often called the gut-brain axis. Claire’s gentle, energising Pilates session will explore that connection through movement, breath, balance and relaxation. You will begin with flowing mobility, coordination and balance before moving into Pilates-based exercises to build strength, mobility and whole-body awareness. Gentle spinal movement, rotation, core work and breathing will be combined with mindful movement and relaxed breathing to encourage a calmer, more restorative state. The session is suitable for all abilities and no previous Pilates experience is necessary.

Gut-Brain Reset: Feel Better from the Inside Out
Host: With Amanda Ryder, Registered Nutritional Therapist mBAN
Info: Could changing what you eat change how you feel, think and function? Amanda will explore the fascinating two-way conversation between the gut and brain and how food, stress, sleep and the gut microbiome can influence this connection. The session will focus on practical ways to reset everyday habits to support a healthier gut and a healthier brain.

Restorative sound bath

Info: Complete the day by settling into a gentle cosmic soundscape created with light percussion instruments and the deep sounds of planetary gongs. Lie down on your mat or sit in a chair, close your eyes and simply receive the vibration as the sounds fill the room, creating space for balance, relaxation and rest.
