About this Event
Join arboriculturist Greg Packman in exploring the park's tree collection and the habitats these trees provide. Each tree is a tower block of biodiversity. When you know where to look, they can be an endless source of fascination for all manner of invertebrates, fungi and birds. On this walk we will look at tree biology, types of habitat provided by trees, why they are so important or rare, and how we can manage trees to protect these habitats.

All proceeds from this walk go to support The Friends of Cannizaro Park, a registered charity, whose aims are to provide oversight of the park in relation to its maintenance by the London Borough of Merton and to strive to commission improvements to the Park for the benefit of visitors and the local community as a whole.

- All walks will go ahead rain or shine: please come dressed and prepared for the weather
- Please wear appropriate footwear to accommodate uneven and slippery paths and terrain
- Meet at the Millenium Fountain by the main park entrance for a prompt 11AM start.
Terms and Conditions:
Refunds will only be offered due to cancellation by the organisers. The weather on the day will not be considered a valid reason for cancellation unless considered to be a safety risk. Guests who are unable to attend or who choose not to attend the event are not eligible for a refund if the event goes ahead.
