GUIDED DIASPORA COFFEE TASTING
Six Origins. One Shared Story.
Join Six Rows Café for a guided specialty-coffee tasting that follows coffee across landscapes, traditions, and global connection.
In this two-hour, in-person experience, we will taste a curated flight of six coffees inspired by Ethiopia, Kenya, Jamaica, Colombia, Yemen, and Sumatra. Through guided sensory practice and conversation, participants will explore how origin, processing, roast development, brewing choices, and cultural context can shape what we taste in the cup.
This is not a lecture and not a test. It is a welcoming, thoughtful tasting experience for coffee lovers, curious beginners, hospitality professionals, TSU students, and anyone who wants to develop a deeper relationship with coffee.
WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE
• A guided tasting flight featuring six origin-inspired coffees
• An approachable introduction to aroma, sweetness, acidity, body, balance, and finish
• Origin context and coffee-culture conversation spanning East Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia
• Comparative tasting exercises that help you identify what you enjoy and why
• A structured tasting journal and flavor-vocabulary guidance
• Time for reflection, questions, and connection with fellow coffee lovers
WHAT TO EXPECT
Coffee will be served in small tasting portions as part of a facilitated learning experience. We will move through the flight together, so please plan to arrive early and stay for the full program.
No previous coffee knowledge is required. Whether you drink coffee every day or are just beginning to explore specialty coffee, you are welcome at the table.

Please arrive 10 minutes early for check-in. Because coffees and tasting materials are selected and prepared in advance, tickets are nonrefundable. If you can no longer attend, please contact us as early as possible.
