GU-RU reunites for the first time in over 4 years to conjure Prog-Jazz Fusion wizardry inspired by Frank Zappa, Gentle Giant & The Doors. Returning from the cosmic wilderness, GU-RU has discovered a new life and is excited to share this with you at the Donkey on 27th November.
GU-RU is Gurulee (Keys), Malcolm D’Sa (Drums), Lee Pellington (Bass).
Get ready for a night of adventurous sounds and boundary-pushing grooves as GURU bring their unique blend of electro-psychedelic, prog-jazz-fusion to The Donkey, with support to be announced.
Expect a heady mix of psychedelic textures, progressive rhythms, jazz-inspired improvisation and electronic experimentation, as GURU take you on a journey through sound that refuses to sit neatly in one genre.
Led by Lee Spreadbury, GU-RU bring an adventurous musical vision to the stage, blending styles and pushing sonic boundaries for a live experience that's immersive, unpredictable and full of surprises.
If you're into music that explores the space between psychedelia, jazz, progressive rock and electronica, this is one to get on your radar.
