You can spend hundreds of hours gaming online with people you've never actually met in person. You have your favorite games, your online friends, your Discord servers, and maybe a few people you squad up with every weekend.
But when was the last time you actually went out and met someone who loves the same things you do?
With one of the most anticipated video game releases on the horizon, we figured Pittsburgh deserved more than just another night sitting at home staring at a screen.
So we're bringing the gaming community together in real life.
Welcome to GTA VI: Cops & Robbers, a midnight launch party hosted by Yinzers Meet at GOAT Gamers Lounge in Bloomfield!
We're combining an interactive bank-heist escape room, a $100 cash prize, speed friending, gaming, a live DJ, and a midnight launch celebration into one unforgettable night.
Whether you're a hardcore gamer, a casual player, a nerd at heart, or someone who just wants to make new friends, you're invited.
And no, you don't have to know anything about GTA to have fun.
🚨 COPS & ROBBERS: THE HEIST
Think you and a group of complete strangers could pull off the perfect bank heist?
We're turning the lounge into an interactive, GTA-inspired escape room challenge where you'll have to work together to complete your mission.
Expect puzzles, clues, problem-solving, teamwork, and a little chaos along the way.
There's a $100 CASH PRIZE on the line! 💰
You'll need more than luck to win. You'll need to communicate, think quickly, and trust your crew.
And the best part? You might walk away with a few new friends in the process.
🤝 SPEED FRIENDING: FIND YOUR CREW
Before the night gets too chaotic, we're helping everyone get acquainted.
We'll host a round of speed friending designed to introduce you to other gamers, creatives, nerds, and Pittsburgh locals who enjoy similar interests.
Think short conversations, fun questions, and an opportunity to find people you'd actually want to hang out with again.
No awkwardly standing in a corner waiting for someone to approach you.
We'll help break the ice.
This is a friendship-focused social, not a speed dating event. Your relationship status doesn't matter.
🎧 LIVE DJ + GAMING PARTY
It's a launch party, so naturally, we're celebrating!
We'll have a live DJ setting the atmosphere while guests socialize, explore the lounge, enjoy gaming, and get into the spirit of the night.
You don't need to be competitive, and you definitely don't need to be a professional gamer.
Come to play, come to dance, or just come to hang out.
🎮 THE MIDNIGHT GTA VI CELEBRATION
As midnight approaches, we're bringing everyone together for the big countdown.
Whether you've been waiting years for GTA VI or you're simply excited to experience the hype with a room full of people, this is your chance to celebrate gaming culture with Pittsburgh's community.
Because some gaming memories are better made together.
