About this Event
Growth Moves That Matter: 2026 ICAN Baltimore Small Business Networking Mixer & Panel Discussion
The Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC) and M&T Bank invite Baltimore small business owners to “Growth Moves That Matter,” an evening to hear proven growth strategies from local business owners, get insights to help you plan for the future, and walk away with new connections to support your business growth. The event will take place on Thursday, November 19th from 6:00-8:00pm ET at Johns Hopkins University.
“Growth Moves That Matter” is built around one question: what actually moves the needle on growth? You’ll hear business owners share the specific strategies, decisions, and pivots that produced real results for their companies, including what they did, why they did it, what changed, and what you can apply to your own business.
What to Expect
- Growth Panel Discussion: Baltimore business owners who have gone through ICIC and M&T Bank programs share real growth moves across topics
- Partner Resources: Learn about the tools, programs, and resources available to help you make your next move
- Identify Your Move: Come prepared with a growth strategy you’ve used or want to explore. It becomes your conversation starter for the evening.
- Make Your Next Move | Networking: Connect with owners who’ve tried the strategies you’re considering, exchange honest peer-to-peer experiences, and build relationships that go well past the elevator pitch
Who should attend:
This event is intended for owners of established, revenue-generating small and mid-sized businesses, as well as the business support organizations that serve them. It is not designed for ideation-stage founders or for individuals seeking employment with participating businesses.
We look forward to seeing you there!
The evening brings together Baltimore small business owners, graduates of ICIC and M&T Bank’s Small Business Accelerator, and local partner organizations. ICIC is a national nonprofit (icic.org/programs) that helps small businesses in under-resourced communities grow, and more than 75% of its alumni go on to do business with one another. This event opens that network up to the wider Baltimore small business community.
