About this Event
Description
In a complicated world, how do we equip young learners with the tools they need to embrace challenges and to not give up? Developing a growth mindset is the key to unlocking a student’s motivation and ultimately achievement. By paying close attention to our own mindsets, we can shift the language we use to empower young learners to not give up despite mistakes, to value sustained effort over immediate success, and to motivate them to stay lifelong learners.
Learning Objectives
Participants will be able to:
- Identify the differences between a fixed mindset and a growth mindset.
- Reflect on how mindsets shape motivations and achievements.
- Discover ways to support young learners with developing a mindset that increases their motivation to learn and builds their confidence to try new challenges.
Who Should Participate?
This training is designed for anyone who support young learners. It focuses on helping adults reflect on their own mindsets and shift the language and strategies they use to encourage persistence, build confidence, and foster a growth mindset in students, ultimately increasing motivation, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning.
