Come celebrate the season of gratitude at Love City Brewing with a grown-up book fair and swap! Books and Brews Philly and The Broken Spine are teaming up to bring you a book lover's dream evening, featuring local romance author, Christy Schillig!! Bring a gently used book(s) to swap (any genre) sip on a beverage and shop new books gifts and merch from The Broken Spine! We will also be collecting canned goods and non-perishable items to support Greater Goods in Kensington. This event is for people aged 21+. Can't wait to see you there!
Here's how the swap works:
*Bring a book or books (up to 10 per person).
*We cannot take reference books, textbooks, travel guides or books that are dirty, damaged, excessively yellowed, written in etc. Please consider bringing a recent/relevant book that you have enjoyed rather than an old unwanted item.
*Check in with the host
*Lay your books out on the designated tables
*Browse the books and grab up to four new (to you) books to take home
*Grab a drink, mingle and have fun!
*We will also have Blind Date With a Book books for sale. Take a chance on a book that sounds intriguing!
*Leftover books get donated or circulated back into future book swaps.
