About this Event
Are you looking for an opportunity to learn and talk about the physical and emotional changes that come with puberty in a comfortable, supportive environment? We are here to help girls and their caregivers feel more informed, confident, and comfortable having these important conversations together.
What to Expect
Kellie Karschner - Puberty & Growing Up
A registered nurse and healthcare professional will share age-appropriate, medically grounded information about puberty, including physical and emotional changes, what to expect, hygiene, and when it may be helpful to talk with a healthcare provider.
Sarah Fritzen - Skincare & Self-Care
We'll talk about simple, age-appropriate skincare and hygiene habits, including common changes such as acne and oiliness, everyday routines, and ways to care for your skin with a focus on healthly habits and confidence .
Gina Loveless - Author of Puberty is Gross But Also Really Awesome
Gina will join us virtually to bring humor and honesty to the conversation about growing up. She'll share from her book, talk about the realities (and sometimes hilarity) of puberty, and help remind girls that they are not alone in navigating all the changes that come with growing up.
You'll also have the opportunity to browse books and resources from Otto Bookstore, visit our featured tables, enjoy complimentary refreshments, and participate in giveaways and prizes.
We're planning a fun and welcoming morning where girls and their caregivers can learn together, ask questions, laugh a little, and start conversations that can continue long after the event.
