Join us on Tuesday mornings during term time for outdoor nature adventures. You can expect: nature walks around the allotments looking for seasonal treasures such as birds, insects, trees, worms, snails and spiders, wild flowers, leaves, animal footprints as well as admire all the fruit and vegetables that plot holders are growing. There is a micro orchard on site, honey bee hives and a beautiful wooden hut we sometimes use for nature crafts. On our little plot we have: a mud kitchen play in, wooden logs to jump on, sand and bark to play with. Bubbles, slimy toys and watering cans are all part of the fun... We grow seasonal food to share with our community. Will you join us?If you would like to bring a large group, please check with us before hand so we don't exceed our maximum quota of the session. Thanks.
All activities are child led by forest school practitioner Naomi with over 10 years experience in Environmental education. Pushchair and wheelchair friendly to the plot then it gets bumpy and narrow so you'll have to leave them at the gate. Toilets on site.
We will meet at the pedestrian entrance to the allotments on Sunny Bank Road. Meet at 9:55 for a 10am start. Sessions are mostly outdoors, so all attendees must be dressed for the days weather.
Free thanks to funding from the National Lottery.
