Group public walk - 12 November at 11amBrown Clee via Clee Liberty Common - 7miles (11.25km) - grade 3.5/5
This is an alternative way up to Shropshire’s highest point taking in the wild expanses of Clee Liberty and the staggering views over Corve Dale and Wenlock Edge towards the Long Mynd.
We will also walk through a disused quarry and learn about the extensive industrial history of this spectacular landscape.
You may see a wide range of wildlife including red kites, buzzards and skylarks as well as deer, hares and rabbits. You will learn about the flora and fauna you see along the way and the history and folklore of the surrounding area.
It's graded three and half and requires a reasonable level of fitness. There is a long gentle climb from the start to the summit but as usual, we take it at the rate of the slowest and stop frequently, if neccesary.
Our guided walks are deliberately kept small - with a maximum of six participants - giving you a more personal, relaxed and exclusive countryside experience.
