About this Event
What do the experts at the Nicholas Institute for Energy, Environment & Sustainability actually do? Why do they do it? Who benefits? Find out at Grounds for Conversation, a new monthly coffee hour open to all Duke students.
The second installment in our series on Wednesday, October 21, will feature Kyle Bradbury (see full bio), faculty fellow at the Nicholas Institute, faculty in the Master of Interdisciplinary Data Science program, and assistant research professor with the Pratt School of Engineering and Nicholas School of the Environment.
He’ll discuss the role of data science in tackling climate challenges, his own work in energy and climate data analytics, and why communications skills are critical for data scientists. He’ll also touch on his journey at Duke, where he completed both his MS and PhD.
Here’s what to expect:
- Insights about research projects, policy engagement, and career paths
- Answers to your questions about the Nicholas Institute’s work
- Your morning coffee or tea (and light snacks)
