About this Event
Welcome to Grounds for Conversation, a monthly discussion group for people who want to explore Jesus and the Christian faith in an honest, respectful environment.
Whether you've never been to church, walked away from Christianity years ago, have doubts, or are simply curious about what Christians actually believe, you're welcome here.
This is not a debate.
It's not a Bible study.
It's not a place where you'll be pressured into believing something.
Instead, it's an opportunity to ask honest questions, hear the Christian perspective, and engage in thoughtful conversation with others who are asking many of the same questions.
Each month Sean and Chris will introduce a different topic from a Christian perspective before opening the floor for discussion. You're welcome to agree, disagree, challenge ideas, or simply listen.
No question is off limits.
Potential Discussion Topics
Topics will rotate each month and may include:
- Why did Jesus have to die?
- What is the Gospel?
- Is Jesus who He claimed to be?
- Why does God allow suffering?
- Religion vs. Relationship
- Faith & Science
- Faith & Politics

To make this a great experience for everyone, we ask that all participants agree to the following:
Respect everyone.
Everyone comes from a different background and holds different beliefs. Listen well, disagree respectfully, and assume good intentions.
Share the conversation.
We want everyone to have an opportunity to participate. Be mindful of how much you're speaking and leave room for others.
This is a Christian-led discussion.
Sean and Chris will facilitate each meeting from a Christian perspective. While we won't all agree, everyone is welcome to ask questions and share their perspective.

This group exists primarily for people who are exploring Christianity. Christians are welcome, but we ask that you attend only if you're bringing someone who doesn't follow Jesus or is genuinely exploring the Christian faith.
