Grounded for the Holidays: Practical Tools for Calming Your Nervous System, Creating Boundaries, and Connection
A 90-minute in-person workshop designed to help you steady your nervous system, navigate difficult family dynamics, and protect your peace this season.
About This Workshop
The holiday season is often described as the most wonderful time of the year, but for many of us, it brings a surge of sensory overload, complicated family dynamics, calendar exhaustion, and emotional overwhelm. Between packed schedules and unspoken expectations, our personal boundaries and wellbeing are often the first things we sacrifice.
Grounded for the Holidays is an intimate, supportive 90-minute workshop designed to give you concrete, actionable tools to handle holiday stress in the moment—before, during, and after high-pressure gatherings.
Led by an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), this interactive psychoeducational class moves beyond generic self-care advice to give you practical, evidence-based coping skills you can actually use when tension spikes.
What We Will Cover
- In-the-Moment Nervous System Resets: Simple somatic and physiological tools (including breathwork shifts and quick sensory scans) to interrupt anxiety in real time when you feel overwhelmed.
- Clear, Kind Boundary Scripts: Words to navigate intrusive questions, say “no” to events without over-explaining, and exit uncomfortable interactions without guilt.
- Managing Capacity & Perfectionism: Practical strategies to untangle "traditions that nourish" from "obligations that drain," helping you align your time and energy with what truly matters to you.
- Your Take-Home Toolkit: Every attendee leaves with a one-page Holiday Stress Management Guide packed with scripts and somatic resets to keep in your purse, car, or pocket throughout the season.
What to Expect
- Intimate Group Size: This workshop is strictly capped at 10 participants to ensure a quiet, comfortable, and uncrowded environment where everyone has room to breathe.
- Relaxed & Grounded Atmosphere: Hosted in the community room at Radiant Chiropratic. Tea and water will be provided. Wear whatever makes you comfortable.
- Educational & Empowering: While facilitated by a licensed therapist, this is an interactive skills training and educational workshop rather than group therapy. There is no pressure to share personal stories or speak publicly unless you choose to.
