Frustrated that theatre has lost its bite, Dionysos, the God of Drama, heads to the underworld to bring back a great playwright who can wake up a troubled world. What follows is Stephen Sondheim's hilarious take on Aristophanes' 2,400-year-old comedy: equal parts slapstick, satire, and a genuine case for why art still matters.Groove/Factory's production of The Frogs brings together more than 50 local artists, including a live orchestra, a full choir, a dance corps, and a principal cast led by Zack Schlag as Dionysos and Mike Sousa as Xanthias. It's big, loud, silly, and a whole lot of fun. Come laugh with us.
