Like last year, this is an over 18s event. There's no formal competition or tournament.
However.....
Many silly things occurred last year, and hopefully we'll have a similarly great time.
Details below:
18:00-midnight on the 12th December @ the Ukrainian association in Gloucester, we'll be in the basement bar section of the building.
For those who haven't been, this venue is walkable(15 mins, 0.7 miles) from the train station and has a decent car park for the designated drivers. 😉
Entrance is round the back from the car park. https://maps.app.goo.gl/n27UJ4AMvwPshw3n8
Signups are needed for entry (to avoid random folks walking in off the street)

It's going to be adults only, as it'll be 18:00-midnight, and I expect alcohol, some swearing and rude jokes.
While the venue does have a bar it's not been stocked or operated for a few years now so it's a bring your own booze + snacks situation, you can also order in takeaways. I'll be providing some snacks and soft drinks etc.
There will be music. A pool table, darts, and skittles alley will be available, and I expect the robot combat traditional arm-wrestling competition.
The GROCS antweight arena will be there, but no organized tournament, I'd expect a few whiteboards and open arena rumbles. Whiteboards, can be full combat, but remember to be careful with spinners, I don't want to temper our enjoyment with a hospital visit for anyone.
There won't be any livestream or fancy AV system setup, so you'll probably have to do your own "3,2,1, Activate!"
Xmas or Robot themed apparel is encouraged, but not mandatory 🙂
No mandatory entry fees for this event, however, feel free to donate to GRoCS here: https://paypal.me/GRoCS , I'd suggest ~£5 per person, we'll be donating a portion of this to the association, to the snacks/mixers table and the remainder to the GRoCS war chest. When paying please put your name (as it appears in the signup) and "GRoCS xmas" in the "what's it for" box.
