Grissom Funeral Home Celebrates 100 Years of Service with Community Open House
“A Walk Through the Decades” invites the community to celebrate a century of history, memories and service in Kissimmee
KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Grissom Funeral Home is celebrating an extraordinary milestone in 2026: 100 years of serving families in Kissimmee and the surrounding community. To commemorate its centennial, Grissom Funeral Home will open its doors to the community for “A Walk Through the Decades,” a free, family-friendly open house on Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
The event will take guests on a journey from 1926 to today, celebrating the people, traditions and memories that have shaped the past century. Visitors will be able to walk through the decades at their own pace while enjoying themed food and drinks inspired by different eras, live music, historical displays, nostalgic décor, old-time photo opportunities and activities for all ages.
Rather than a formal program, the celebration is designed as an interactive community open house. Guests are welcome to arrive anytime between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m., explore the displays and experiences, and stay as long as they would like.
The celebration will also highlight the transformation of Grissom Funeral Home and the Kissimmee community over the past 100 years, including historic photographs and memories from the funeral home’s earliest days through the present.
“A Walk Through the Decades” is free and open to the public, and all ages are welcome.
