The Art Center is welcoming our Black History Month exhibition, Griots: Our Stories, Ourselves with a special one-day Griots Book Fair! Local book stores as well as local independent and traditionally published authors will be sharing their books and giving author talks and readings throughout the day. We'll have bookish art activities for all ages and Fulton County Arts & Culture Public Art Futures Lab is presenting a VR experience of Shanequa Gay's Psalms for Black Girls. This event is free to attend! A schedule of readings and author talks will be available as we get closer.

More about the VR experience:
"Spatial Storytelling was commissioned by Fulton County Arts & Culture, Public Art Division to translate the visual and poetic elements of Shanequa’s powerful exhibition Psalms for Black Girls into a 360° immersive experience. Led by the artist herself, recorded at the Emma Darnell Aviation Museum, the piece preserves the intimacy, symbolism, and emotional resonance of the original installation while extending its reach beyond the gallery walls and into classrooms, libraries, and community spaces through the Public Art Futures Lab's VR/STEAM outreach.
