When someone you love has died, the holiday season can feel overwhelming. Familiar traditions, family gatherings, and unexpected reminders may bring difficult emotions—whether your loss was recent or years ago.
Surviving the Holidays is a two-hour workshop offering support and practical ideas for facing Thanksgiving and Christmas. You’ll find help with managing painful emotions, navigating invitations and changing traditions, and finding meaningful ways to remember your loved one.
The workshop includes:
• A video featuring grief experts and people who have experienced loss
• Supportive discussion—you’re welcome to share or simply listen
• A take-home Holiday Survival Guide with practical tips for the season
Everyone is welcome. You do not need to attend Lutheran Church of the Cross or have participated in GriefShare before. This workshop offers Christian perspectives on grief and hope, with no pressure to talk.
