About this Event
The holidays have a way of bringing memories to the surface.
For many of us, Thanksgiving and the holiday season are filled with celebration, family, and tradition. But when someone we love is no longer here, this time of year can also bring a renewed sense of grief, longing, and absence.
Grief & Grace is an intentional space to slow down, honor the people we’ve lost, and simply be in community with others who understand that grief doesn’t follow a timeline.
Hosted by Purple Rose Petals and the Arthur Scandrett Disability Scholarship Foundation, this intimate gathering invites you to come as you are. There is no expectation to have the right words, to be “over it,” or even to talk if you don’t want to.
During our time together, guests will have an opportunity to write a letter to a loved one they have lost — sharing the things they miss, the things they wish they could say, the memories they still carry, or simply whatever is on their heart.
Those who feel comfortable will also have the opportunity to share their letter or reflections with the group. Sharing is completely optional.
We’ll spend the afternoon remembering, reflecting, connecting, and making room for both grief and grace.

Who Is This For?
This gathering is open to anyone navigating the loss of someone meaningful to them, whether the loss was recent or many years ago.
There is no “right” way to grieve and no timeline you need to be on to attend.
