About this Event
After a sold-out run last December, Gremlins: An Original Musical Parody is back for 2026 with more Gremlins, more original songs, and a brand-new home at Shaking the Tree Theatre.
When a small-town teen unwraps the strangest Christmas present ever, an adorable new pet with three very specific rules, things go bad fast. One splash of water and one late-night snack later, the monsters are multiplying, the songs are getting louder, and Kingston Falls is about to have a very bad Christmas.
With 14 original songs by John-Ryan Griggs, this holiday parody is part nostalgic, part holiday nightmare, and part completely unnecessary musical spectacle, Gremlins: An Original Musical Parody runs December 17–20, 2026 at Shaking the Tree Theatre in Portland.
