The concert incliudes, in the first half, two fine works by Beethoven, his Overture Egmont, and his eighth symphony - spritely and short. In the second half, the orchestra will be joined once more by Misha Kaploukhii, a rising young pianist who has been winning prizes in London and abroad and is a leading piano student at the Royal College of Music. This will be his third appearance with the GCO.
