About this Event
Students will come outside with their classroom teachers to plant a tree together! Volunteers are invited to help lead classes through the planting process. All tools and training will be provided, and Tree Trust staff will be on hand to supervise and assist.
We will email you a reminder two days prior to the event.
Be prepared!
🧥 Wear weather appropriate clothing that can get dirty.
🥾 Wear closed-toe shoes or boots that can get dirty.
💧 Bring a water bottle! This is hard work and it's important to stay hydrated.
☔ Prepare for any weather - we work in the rain! Event will be cancelled or postponed in unsafe conditions (lightning, extreme temperatures, severe weather).

Zone Captains -- What to expect on site:
☑️ Check in at the Tree Trust tent to receive work gloves and instructions.
🧤 Tree Trust will do a tree planting demonstration for Zone Captains.
🌳 You will team up with other volunteers and staff to lead classrooms through the planting of their tree.
Parent Volunteers -- What to expect on site:
☑️ Check in at the Zone sign where your student's class is assigned.
You will help engage students in conversation about trees, supervise shovel use, and help ensure a safe and fun experience.
Tree Trust volunteers should be prepared to:
- Stand, kneel, and bend over
- Use a hand saw and shovel
- Lift up to 20 pounds
- Walk over uneven terrain
- Have a meaningful impact on their community!
Tree Trust staff and tree experts will be on hand to supervise and answer any questions!
