We are so excited to bring Greendrinks to the Gracie Theatre for the first time! If you've never been, you're in for a treat as it is a gorgeous space, and a top notch venue for the arts right in our backyard.From our hosts:
"The Gracie Theatre is conveniently located in the heart of Bangor, right off Broadway. We boast a beautiful 490-seat theatre and proudly operate as a presenting theatre and cultural center for the Greater Bangor community. We host a range of events each year including cultural groups, popular bands, comics, and family programs which make up a robust season with something for everyone. Various organizations rent the space for programs ranging from dance and fundraisers, to conferences, speakers, and educational programs. The Gracie also serves as a learning platform for students from the New England School of Communications studying digital audio, live sound, sound mixing, and electronics.
The event will be held in the Darling Atrium which is part of the venue and also serves as the gathering space for patrons to enjoy concessions, and to pick up tickets at the box office. Our WBRC gallery of featuring rotating artists will be open, and a short tour of the theatre will be available for those interesting in seeing "behind the scenes" around 6:45pm. Information about the Gracie's 15th season will available as well. We look forward to hosting you!"
Orono Brewing is graciously providing the beverages- bring your cup, or we'll have our custom Greendrinks pint glasses available for $7. We will be carding at the front table, so bring your ID!
Greendrinks is a free family-friendly event. Donations are welcome, and all funds raised go towards our Green Grants- micro grants for local environmental and community projects.
