The Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is inviting job seekers to explore new career opportunities at a hiring event Thursday, Sept. 17, from 9 a.m. to noon and 2 to 6 p.m. at Goodwill Easter Seals, 660 S. Main St., in Dayton. RTA is focused on hiring bus drivers and service and repair mechanics and will conduct interviews on the spot.All applicants for bus driver positions must have a valid driver’s license. Those interested in becoming a CDL bus driver must obtain a Class B commercial learner’s permit with a passenger endorsement before starting. RTA offers paid, on-the-job CDL training through its on-site training department.
