About this Event
*Note, if you wish to book more than 4 tickets, please contact us first.*
We are Community Trees MK and we are planting trees across the city of MK with the help of the people of MK.
We are partnering with MK City Council, Loughton & Great Holm Parish Council and The International Tree Foundation to plant trees with the community at this green space known as Horseshoe Walk on Great Holm. Our work here will add to an existing green space, planting smaller trees amongst an existing area of trees which has been thinned to help to create a biodiverse wildlife corridor.
To plant trees with us you need to book places in advance.
On the Day:
The date is Saturday 13th February 2027. The planting will commence at 10:00 and we will aim to be finished by 14:00. Please come along at 10:00 or anytime thereafter.
We would like to see lots of local people come along to help us plant trees. This is an open-air event so please dress for cold and potentially damp weather, please wear stout boots or shoes. Please bring gardening gloves and come ready to do some digging.
No experience is required, full instruction will be given. The aim is to have fun while helping the local environment.
This is a family-friendly event, however, please note there are no toilet facilities in the immediate area. Please bring your own refreshments.
All under 16's to be accompanied by an adult.
Equipment:
Tools will be provided and will be available when you arrive.
Getting to the planting site:
We would really appreciate it if you were able to walk or cycle or use public transport if you can.
If you need to travel by car, then we recommend you park your car in a public parking area in front of some shops and a pub located at MK8 9AN. Please do not park in the pubs private car park. If you choose to park along the road please do not block driveways.. You will then need to make your way to the site.
